Hello,
Today is launch day for the Hy-Vee Reusable Bag Program that supports local non-profits! Starting today and for the entire month of February, when you purchase a $2.50 red My Heart Reusable Bag at the Hy-Vee located at 2115 South MacArthur Blvd., $1 is donated to American Legion Post 32, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.
Our goal is to sell 200, $2.50 red My Heart Reusable Bags, equivalent to $200 raised. We are confident that with the help of our dedicated supporters, we can reach this goal.
We strongly encourage you to share this news with family and friends as well!
The red My Heart Reusable Bags are located on displays around the store and at the checkout. For more information about the program, please visit hy-vee.bags4mycause.com.

the Italian War Veteran Breakfast scheduled for Mar 22 at the K of C on West Iles is CANCELED. They had to cancel the breakfast; but, they plan to sell the sausage for $10 for 3 pounds. They will be selling the sausage in the parking lot of Turasky Meats from 0900 hrs. to 1200 hrs. All proceeds will go to the Honor flight. Please pass this on to as many people you can. They have 400 pounds to sell.
American Legion Post 759 Lent Fish Fries begin Friday February 28th. Get the word out, we would like to see all our Legion family at these events. Bring your friends and neighbors. As always we need help with the seven Friday Night Fries. We have jobs that require no standing or lifting. Please do your part to get the word out with the attached graphics. If you can help out at one or more of the fish fries, please contact one of our Fish Fry Captains.

Operation Her Story ~ All women Honor Flight

for the state's first female flight.
This one-day flight and tour is set for October 7, 2020. There will be an early morning flight out of a Chicago airport to Washington D. C. Once in Washington, D.C., travel is on comfortable coach buses to tour a special women’s flight itinerary, including the women's memorial. Our Veterans will return to Chicago on an evening flight to be greeted at home by a crowd of friends, family, and community supporters.
Honor Flight – Operation Her Story seeks female Veterans that served during WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and periods in between 1940 – 1975 and is accepting applications now for this flight.
