The May 1, 2, 3, 2020 32^nd Annual Vietnam Veteran Vigil has been changed to June 5, 6, 7, 2020 as a result of the Coronavirus threat to our committee members and all attendees. Thank you for your cooperation during these difficult times.

No Vigil meetings are scheduled at this time. Updates will be announced as needed.
As a result, our Quilt Raffle drawing must be moved to June 5, 2020. Please inform all of the people you sold raffle tickets of this necessary change. If you don’t remember how to contact them, they will probably contact you after the scheduled May drawing date.

Come out Friday and support our curbside service. Lunch 11-1, dinner 5-8.

Celebrate Armed Forces Day by coming out to support the Veterans programs of Fifth Street Renaissance/SARA Center! We will keep you posted with any changes in plans related to COVID19 precautions.

$10 meal (prepared by Carter's Fish) will include:

Corned Beef Dinner for $8 at VFW 755 on March 8, 2020.  Proceeds go to the Vietnam Hero Dinner on March 29, 2020.  Come on down and join VFW 755 for a little bit of that Springfield Hospitality. There will be plenty of food, Irish drink specials, and the Central Illinois Irish dancers will showcase their skills. All proceeds will go to the Vietnam Veterans appreciation dinner in March. It’s a great way to give back to those who served.

the Italian War Veteran Breakfast scheduled for Mar 22 at the K of C on West Iles is CANCELED.  They had to cancel the breakfast; but, they plan to sell the sausage for $10 for 3 pounds.  They will be selling the sausage in the parking lot of Turasky Meats from 0900 hrs. to 1200 hrs.  All proceeds will go to the Honor flight.  Please pass this on to as many people you can.  They have 400 pounds to sell.

American Legion Post 759 Lent Fish Fries begin Friday February 28^th.   Get the word out, we would like to see all our Legion family at these events. Operation Her Story ~ All women Honor Flight

Please forward this message broadly and help identify Illinois  ttps://www.operationherstory.org/  Veterans for the state's first female flight.

This one-day flight and tour is set for October 7, 2020.  There will be an early morning flight out of a Chicago airport to Washington D. C.   Once in Washington, D.C., travel is on comfortable coach buses to tour a special women’s flight itinerary, including the women's memorial.  Our Veterans will return to Chicago on an evening flight to be greeted at home by a crowd of friends, family, and community supporters.

Honor Flight – Operation Her Story seeks female Veterans that served during WWII, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, and periods in between 1940 – 1975 and is accepting applications now for this flight.
