Jan 21 Veterans Assistance Commission of Sangamon County meeting. Executive meeting are 2nd Wednesday of each month. Quarterly are the 3rd Wednesday of that month. Jan, April, July, October.

My name is Beth Rees, and I run Feeding Springfield One Lasagna at a Time. Each year, in honor of Veterans Day, we prepare homemade lasagna meals and thoughtful care packages for veterans in Springfield and surrounding communities.
This year, deliveries will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, and will include:
- A fresh lasagna meal
- Handwritten cards from local children
- Special treats and tokens of appreciation
We are currently looking for names, addresses, phone numbers, and family sizes of any veterans who would benefit from receiving one of these packages. If you know of someone, or if you'd like to coordinate a group delivery for veterans in your organization or facility, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Fifth Street Renaissance Veterans Day Soup Fundraiser Order Form For Carry Out

Fifth Street Renaissance is celebrating Veterans Day by raising money for veterans experiencing homelessness. We will be selling our homemade soups for $20/quart. We will also have staff available to take donations. All of the soups are homemade and include crackers and a cookie!
The soups we'll be offering include:

* Seafood Chowder (Buffs Recipe)
* Cream of Mushroom
