Interveterans March

Next meeting March 24 at the Navy club.  There will be no food and social distancing is recommended.

The Next Interveterans Council of Sangamon County meeting will be Mar 24, 2021 (4th Wed of the month but March happens to have 5 Wednesdays this year) at 7PM at the Navy Club. Mark Anderson be acting commander in the absence of the Commander, Phil  Brown.  He will be back in April.  The Navy club is not open but the Marine Corps League has been meeting there. During this pandemic, the Navy club had to get a new furnace. Hopefully the bar will be reopening about May. Bring your own drink and there is no trash service.

As always, we would like to know how you are doing and what your posts have been doing during the pandemic.

Mask and social distancing is highly encouraged.

Orange Heart Memorial
Join us March 28th at 1pm as we dedicate a new expansion of our Orange Heart Memorial by dedicating a 6th panel to the memorial. This panel is inscribed with 60 names of veterans and we are honored to include them. Register now to join us https://www.springfieldfh.com/orange-heart-memorial-sign-up/

Are you a Vietnam veteran or do you know one? Find out how to get your name added to the memorial, please visit our website https://www.springfieldfh.com/orange-heart-memorial/

This monument not only recognizes all veterans who suffered from and later succumbed to the side effects of the dangerous defoliant chemical but also recognizes and honors all Vietnam veterans that made it home.
